Be Healthy: Young People will help encourage their peers to lead healthy lifestyles by creating projects and publications around a variety of issues affecting young people in the area. The Training Department will also provide young people with accessible information, education and advice on a varitey health matters including sexual health, drugs and alcohol awareness.

Stay Safe: The Training Department will offer awareness-raising work with young people in schools and youth organisations in the city on issues related to risk and safety. The Training Department will also offer partnership work to other organisations within the city to enable vulnerable young people to access the service and above all provide a safe environment for young people.

Enjoy and Achieve: The Training Department will offer a range of activities and facilities to enable young people to develop skills in areas such as self confidnce and self esteem. The young people will also develop skills for adulthood such as employability skills.

Make a Positive Contribution: The Training Department will enhance the services offered to young people in region. The Training Department will use the equipment as a resource to encourage young people, including those who are unemployed, to volunteer to gain skills, confidence and improve employment prospects.

Achieve Economic Well-being: The Training Department will offer personal development, education and lifeskills programmes tailored to individuals needs through the project. There will be practical and educational support for the young people who will attend the department. The Training Department will offer access to education for young people who have not reached their potential. Support will also be offered from the Connexions Service.

Breakfast Club Aims: To develop practical skills in the safe, hygienic, healthy and creative use of foods, to plan prepare, cook and serve a range of dishes suitable for breakfast. Developing the practical skills in the safe use of a range of utensils and appliances in the range of dishes suitable for breakfast and to explore ways to achieve a healthy diet.

Training Sessions Aims: The Training Department offers Foundation Learning  which is the national suite of learning for 14–19-year-old learners working predominantly at entry level or level 1. There will also be Support improvement through engagement, participation and progression through entry level and level 1 towards level 2; or, where appropriate, towards other destinations such as supported employment and independent living.

Afternoon and Evening Drop In Sessions Aims: To provide a safe and welcoming drop in for Young People to get Information Advice and Guidance to improve their standards of living. But also enabling young people to develop holistically, working with them to facilitate their personal, social and educational development, to enable them to develop their voice, influence and place in society and to reach their full potential.
